CCL8 (C-C motif ligand 8; also known as MCP-2) is a 76-amino-acid CC chemokine produced by monocytes and macrophages. CCL8 binds CCR1, CCR2, CCR3, and CCR5 to recruit monocytes, T cells, eosinophils, and basophils. It also binds ACKR1 and ACKR2. CCL8 is highly expressed in inflammatory diseases and supports tumor-associated macrophage infiltration. These interactions highlight CCL8's role in amplifying inflammatory cascades.
