Human CCL24(1-78) (C-C motif ligand 24(1-78); also known as Eotaxin-2(1-78)) is a 78-amino-acid mature CC chemokine generated by signal peptide cleavage from CCL24(1-93). CCL24(1-78) is a potent agonist of CCR3, inducing robust eosinophil and basophil chemotaxis. It also binds ACKR1. This form is the predominant circulating variant and drives allergic inflammation in asthma and rhinitis. These interactions highlight CCL24(1-78)'s role in eosinophilic disorders.
