Human CCL22(3-69) (C-C motif ligand 22(3-69); also known as MDC(3-69)) is a 67-amino-acid N-terminally truncated CC chemokine generated by CD26/dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPIV) cleavage. It retains CCR4 agonist activity with slightly reduced potency but enhanced resistance to further degradation. It also binds ACKR2. This form is detected in inflammatory fluids and may sustain Th2 responses. These interactions highlight CCL22(3-69)'s role in chronic allergic inflammation.
