Human CCL18 (C-C motif ligand 18; also known as PARC, DC-CK1) is a 68-amino-acid CC chemokine expressed by dendritic cells, macrophages, and monocytes. CCL18 binds CCR8 and PITPNM3 (a 6-TM protein) to attract naïve T cells, B cells, and regulatory T cells. It acts as a CCR3 antagonist. Elevated in allergic diseases and fibrosis, CCL18 promotes pulmonary and skin inflammation. These interactions highlight CCL18's role in homeostatic lymphocyte trafficking and Th2 pathology.
