Human CCL11 (C-C motif ligand 11; also known as Eotaxin) is a 74-amino-acid CC chemokine secreted by epithelial cells, endothelial cells, and monocytes in response to IL-4/IL-13. CCL11 binds CCR2, CCR3 and CCR5 to recruit eosinophils, basophils, and Th2 lymphocytes, driving allergic inflammation. It also binds ACKR1 and ACKR2. CCL11 is a key mediator in asthma, atopic dermatitis, and parasitic infections. These interactions highlight CCL11's central role in eosinophilic disorders.
