Human CXCL2 is a 73 amino acid, ELR+ chemokine that belongs to the GRO isoform subset which activate the G protein-coupled receptors CXCR2. LPS-stimulated macrophages strongly express CXCL2 in addition to the constitutive expression by macrophages.
