CCL22 protein is expressed in E. coli, processed, refolded and purified to yield the native, secreted form of the mature chemokine. CCL22, previously known as MDC, is most closely related to CCL17 and is expressed predominantly in the thymus. CCL22 is chemotactic for Th2 T cells and macrophages and signals through CCR4.
