Description: Human CCL3, also known as Macrophage inflammatory protein-1 alpha (MIP-1alpha) and LD78, is closely related to CCL4/MIP-1beta. The biological activity of CCL3 is mediated through activation of the G protein-coupled receptors CCR1, CCR3 and CCR5. Human CCL3 is a potent chemoattractant for immature dendritic cells, T cells, NK cells, neutrophils, and eosinophils. CCL3 is also a known stem cell inhibitor that can inhibit the proliferation of hematopoietic progenitor cells.
